Terrance R. “Terry” Poynter, 48
BOARDMAN – Terrance R. “Terry” Poynter, of Boardman, passed away suddenly Monday morning, December 20, 2021, at his home. He was 48.
Born in Weirton, West Virginia, July 13, 1973, he was a son of the late Clayton and Penny Sullivan Poynter. A member of the Beaver Local High School Class of 1992, for 17 years he worked at Ventra Plastics. Terry then earned a nursing degree from Robert T. White School of Nursing and was associated with Home Care With A Heart. He was a member of the Steel Valley Mopar.
He is survived by his wife, Amy Hale Poynter, at home. The couple married November 17, 1994. He also leaves two sons, Tyler Poynter and Caleb Poynter, both at home. There are two brothers, Eric Poynter and his wife, Maecy, of Austintown, and David Poynter of Maryland.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Richard S. Sullivan and Shiela A. Sullivan.
Pastor Mark Blakeley will conduct a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
