Obituary for Terri Lynn Green (Henthorn)

TERRI L. GREEN, 62

EAST LIVERPOOL – Early Sunday morning, October 22, 2017, Terri Lynn Henthorn Green passed away in the presence of her loved ones at UPMC Mercy in Pittsburgh, where she had been taken after becoming suddenly ill on Saturday. Terri, of Lisbon Street in East Liverpool, was 62.

A devoted wife, mom, daughter, sister and friend, she was born in Salina, Kansas on April 30, 1955, a daughter of Shirley Newell Henthorn of Bedford, Texas and the late Robert Henthorn.

Terri was a 1973 graduate of East Liverpool High School, and received her Associates degree from the Ohio Valley Business College. In March of 1984, she married A. Donald “Don” Green, who had been her sweetheart since 1968 when they were both in the eighth grade. They were rarely apart, and made their home in East Liverpool, where they raised their two children and owned Don’s Auto Repair for over 36 years.

She had worked for nearly 20 years doing title work at Grand Ford, and for the past nine years, was a receptionist for the Columbiana County Counseling Center.

Her greatest joy was in boating on the Ohio River and spending time with her family – no matter what it was they were doing – and she especially loved sitting on her porch swing with her fur babies, “Pete” and “Fred”. For over 50 years, she looked forward to family trips to the lake at Linwood Park in Vermilion, Ohio, and was already planning next year’s vacation. She enjoyed cooking – especially her “famous” macaroni salad and ham salad. Her devotion to her husband and kids can never be measured, nor will it ever be forgotten.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Don, at home, as well as her daughter, Ali Croxall and her husband, Josh, of East Liverpool, and son, Donnie Green, also of East Liverpool.

She also leaves behind her sister, Jayne Holechek and her husband, Daryl, of Kansas, and two brothers, Michael Henthorn and his companion, Kelly Walker of Bedford, Texas, and Matthew Henthorn and his wife, Jennifer, of McKinney, Texas. Terri will also be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends, along with the extended Green family whom she loved as her own.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Friday, where the family will be present from 2 to 6 p.m. Following the service, friends and family will gather at the Three Blessings Hall for a continued time of fellowship.

Pastor Steve Forsythe of the First Free Methodist Church will officiate at a memorial service to be held at the funeral home on Friday at 6 p.m.
