Obituary for Terry Marlene Pickens (Ring)
Calcutta, Ohio- Terry Marlene Pickens, 81, of Pineview Drive passed away Sunday, March 13, 2022 at 11:48 a.m. following a brief illness.
Born April 1st, 1940 she was a daughter of the late William O. and Louise “Tilly” Kountz Ring. A lifetime area resident, she was a homemaker.
Terry loved gardening, cooking and baking. Above all, she loved spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack J. Pickens, whom she married October 17, 1958, on September 24th, 2010.
Survivors include one daughter, Gaye Gaskill and her husband, Donald of East Liverpool, Ohio; two grandsons, Tyler Gaskill and his wife, Morgan of East Liverpool and Logan Gaskill of East Liverpool; and two great-grandchildren, Walker and Saylor Gaskill.
In addition, she is survived by one sister, Rena Ring of East Liverpool; and two brothers, Bill “Ringo” Ring and his wife, Ellen of East Liverpool, and Ronald Ring and his wife, Sally of Wellsville, Ohio.
Besides her parents, Terry was also preceded in death by one daughter, Marlene Lynn Pickens.
Friends may visit the family on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home in East Liverpool, Ohio. Evangelist Will Montgomery will officiate a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in SpringHill Cemetery in Wellsville, Ohio.
The family requests donations be made to the Wellsville Alumni Association in the name of Jack & Terry Pickens.
