Obituary for Keith Grimm

EAST LIVERPOOL – Thomas Keith “Grimmy” Grimm, of East Liverpool, passed away Monday, May 6, 2019 at the East Liverpool City Hospital. He was 65.

Born in Steubenville, September 9, 1953, he was a son of the late James Sanford Grimm and Nancy Lee Morehead Grimm. For 39 years, he worked at Penn Power for First Energy in Shippingport. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he was a Southern Local High School graduate where he was a member of the basketball team. Grimmy was also a member of the American Legion Post 374. He enjoyed fishing and cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers. An avid golfer, he was known for organizing the “Grimmy Classic” golf outing every summer.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene Lorraine Grimm. The couple married February 28, 1981. He was also preceded in death by a sister Kathy Street.

He is survived by two daughters: Trisha Gephart, and her husband Rich, of Willoughby, and Tori Grimm of East Liverpool. There are four grandchildren: Anthony Cataldo, Angelina Cataldo, Archer Love, and Cilene Gephart. Keith was expecting another grandson in September, Drew Gephart.

He also leaves two brothers, Jim Grimm and his wife, Kim, of East Liverpool, and Lee Grimm and his wife, Denise, of Tennessee.

Friends may visit Friday afternoon, May 10th, at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2:30 to 5:00 p.m.

Burial will take place at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.
