Obituary for Timothy M. "Tim" "Tim" Wamsley

BOARDMAN, OHIO – Timothy M. “Tim” Wamsley, Jr., 36, of Boardman passed away Sunday, July 7, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Boardman after a yearlong courageous battle with cancer.

Tim was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on October 18, 1982. He moved to New Jersey in the early 90’s where he attended and graduated from East Brunswick High School with the class of 2001. Tim also attended classes at Rutgers University. Tim most recently worked for Harbor Pets in Boardman. He loved to cook and go bowling. He was an avid sports fan and his favorite teams were Ohio State and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Tim was known for his generosity to others and he especially loved his family.

Preceding Tim in death were his maternal grandparents Clinton “Rocky” and Audrey Rockenhauser; paternal grandfather David Wamsley; father Timothy M. Wamsley, Sr.; half-sister Amanda Wamsley and half-brother Tyler Wamsley.

Left to cherish his memory are his mom Ruth (Rockenhauser) Longo and her husband Rob of East Stroudsburg, PA; two sisters he dearly loved Haleigh Longo and Ciara Longo both of East Stroudsburg, PA; half-sister Haley Moore of East Liverpool; half-brother D.J. Moore of East Liverpool; paternal grandmother Audrey Wamsley of East Liverpool; four aunts Brenda Wamsley, Robin Wamsley, Alice Beaver and Janet Rockenhauser and companion Lauren Bleich.

Friends may visit Tuesday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 3 to 7 p.m. Rev. Norm Eckert of Beechwood Free Methodist Church will conduct a funeral service Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
