Obituary for Victor "Vic" Bosco
East Liverpool, Ohio- Victor Bosco, 86, of May Road passed away Thursday, February 27, 2020 at 10:15 a.m. at the Vista Center in Lisbon, Ohio following a lengthy illness.
Born February 24, 1934 at East Liverpool, he was a son of the late Samuel and Erma Fiorello Bosco Steed. A lifetime area resident, he was retired from the former Crucible Steel Company in Midland, Pennsylvania after 25 years of service as a welder in the cold strip. A member of the former St. Ann Catholic Church in East End, Victor was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara McCartney Bosco, whom he married January 29, 1999, at home. There are four daughters, Marilyn Bosco of East Liverpool, Janice Ashby of East Liverpool, Katherine Burlingame of Florence, Kentucky and Erin Bosco of East Liverpool; two step-children, Kim Cox and her husband, Bill of East Liverpool and Tim Anderson and his wife, Susan of Hanoverton, Ohio.
He leaves behind four grandchildren, Jordan Burlingame, Justin Burlingame, Jullian Cowart and Alexander Smith; four step-grandchildren, Sarah Anderson, Haleigh Anderson, Joe Anderson and Bryan Cox; one great-grandchild, Noah Burlingame and one step great-grandchild, Axel Anderson.
Also surviving are one sister, Sandy Estell and her husband, Robert of East Liverpool; and three brothers, Ralph Bosco of East Liverpool, Donald Steed and his wife, Sheila of East Liverpool, and Rick Steed and his wife, Edith of Wellsville, Ohio.
Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by one brother, William Bosco, and one son-in-law, Gary Ashby.
Friends may visit the family on Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00p.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home in East Liverpool. Pastor Norm Eckert of the Beechwood Free Methodist Church will celebrate a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
Immediately following the service family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center.
