Obituary for Vic Elliott

East Liverpool, Ohio- Victor David Elliott, 79, of Beechwood Street passed away Wednesday, August 31st, 2022 at his residence following a lengthy illness.

Born in East Liverpool, Ohio, he was a son of the late James and Pauline Purinton Elliott. A lifetime area resident, Vic retired from Eagle Amusements in 2022. Prior to that he was employed with M & M Vending and then MacIntosh Hemphill in Midland, Pennsylvania. He was well known as the “Juke Box Man”.

A veteran of the United States Air Force, Vic attended the 1st Evangelical Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the VFW and the Glenmoor American Legion.

Vic loved to attend every Car Show that he could and show off his 1971 Green Grand Prix. He loved to watch the Pittsburgh Steelers. Vic was first and foremost a family man and he loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren. He was the Mayor of Beechwood!

Survivors include two daughters, Liane Gorby and her husband, Rob of East Liverpool and April Kelly and her husband, Ryan of East Liverpool; and two sons, Daniel V. Elliott of Wilmington, North Carolina and James V. Elliott and his wife, Lynzie of East Liverpool. There are six grandchildren, Haydon, Landon, Jaymie, Daniel V. II, Lillian and Stevie; and three great-grandchildren, Knox, Rebel and Krew.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Delores Vernaccini; and two brothers, James Elliott and Charles Elliott.

Friends may visit the family this Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00pm at the Dawson Funeral Home in East Liverpool. Pastor Norm Eckert will officiate a funeral service at 5:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.

The Tri-State Veteran’s Burial Group will accord full military honors on Tuesday at 10:00 am graveside.
