Violet C. McCoy, 82
EAST LIVERPOOL – Violet C. McCoy, of Y Camp Road, passed away Monday, November 11, 2019, at the Calcutta Health Care Center following a lengthy illness. She was 82.
Born December 24, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Milevoy and Mary Balog Kernich. A homemaker, she was a member of the Moose Lodge #122.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David N. McCoy in 2012. She was also preceded in death by three brothers: Michael Kernich, Robert Theodore Kernich and George Kernich.
Violet is survived by her son, Ed Kernich and his wife, Laurie, of Lisbon, as well as a twin brother, Nickolas Ronald Kernich and his wife, Catherine, of Richmond, Virginia, as well as three grandchildren: Ryan Kernich and his wife, Monique, Daniel Kernich and his wife, Kristin, and Jessica Grafton and her husband, Joshua, and six great-grandchildren: Logan Kernich, Olivia Kernich, Luka Kernich, Nicole Kernich, Caleb Kernich and Benjamin Grafton. She will also be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Friends may visit Thursday evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 5 to 8 p.m. Rev. Norman Eckert will conduct a funeral service Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
