Obituary for Virginia "Ginnie" McDade Nesselroad Logue

Virginia “Ginnie” McDade Nesselroad Logue, 99

CHESTER – Virginia “Ginnie” McDade Nesselroad Logue, of Chester, passed away Friday evening, November 13, 2020 at the East Liverpool City Hospital following a brief illness. She was 99.

Born in Mount Alto, West Virginia, April 22, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Josephine Flesher McDade. Ginnie and her late husband moved to this area in 1950. She was a homemaker and worked as a cook at the former Adkins Convalescent Center. Raised in the Methodist church, she had attended United Brethren Church at one time. Above all things in life, she put her family first.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence “Bud” Nesselroad in 1987. Her second husband, Herman Logue, died in 1996. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Joy Kathleen “Kat” Davis, two sons-in-law, Jerry Barnhart and Buck Davis, and two brothers, Gerald McDade and Vernon McDade.

Survivors include her two daughters, Judy Allison and her husband, Rick, of Newell, and Tracy Barnhart of Chester, along with 10 grandchildren: Karen (Bill Bittenger) Kosola, Kristen (George) Govantes, Ginna (Aaron) Deaton, Penny (Greg) Stivason, Ricky (Cheryl White) Allison, Matt Allison, Eric (Missy) Kell, Kylee (Jeremy) Straight, Garrett (Kaylee) Barnhart, and Seth (Samantha Cornell) Barnhart, 29 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren and two additional great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild are expected. A sister survives as well, Rita Brant of Chester. She will also be fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit Monday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 4 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Turk Cunningham will conduct a funeral service Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Masks and social distancing are required.

Entombment will be at Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens.
