Obituary for Bill Edgell

William A. Edgell, 50

WELLSVILLE – William A. “Bill” Edgell, of Wellsville, passed away November 3, 2022, at Allegheny General Hospital after a sudden illness at work. He was 50.

Born in East Liverpool, February 9, 1972, he was a son of the late Roger A. Edgell and Martha “Janey” Swaney. A member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1991, he worked at WHEMCO Steel Castings in Midland. Previously, he worked at National Heat Exchange, Hall China and SSI. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and rooting for the West Virginia Mountaineers and the Minnesota Vikings.

He is survived by four children: Morgan Springer of East Palestine, Dustin Edgell and his wife, Miranda, of Orrville, Isabella Johnson of New England, and Nathan Edgell, and a new grandson, Waylon George Springer. Two sisters survive as well, Lynn White and her husband, Boddie, of Glenmoor, and Tammy Luketic and her husband, Matt, of Calcutta, and two brothers, Raymond Bradley Edgell and his fiancée, Valerie, of East Liverpool, and Brian A. Edgell and his wife, Marian, of Calcutta, a stepmother, Pat Edgell of Leetonia, a stepfather, Thomas Swaney of Glenmoor, and several nieces and nephews. He will also be sadly missed by his fiancée Leanne Phillips and her daughter, Kiera, of Wellsville.

A funeral service will be conducted at 5 p.m. Sunday, November 13th, at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Following the service, family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
