Obituary for William Henry Scott Jr.

EAST LIVERPOOL – William Henry Scott, Jr., 99, of South Surrey Road, East Liverpool, Ohio passed away Saturday morning, August 20, 2022, at his residence.

Born in East Liverpool, Ohio, September 16, 1922, he was a son of the late William Henry and Mona Faye Fletcher Scott, Sr. A 1942 graduate of East Liverpool High School, he worked as an iron worker, a foreman in the automotive industry, an insurance salesman, and a car salesman where he retired from the former M&A Motors. He attended the Oakland Free Methodist Church.

Bill had a great curiosity in how things “worked”… you could always call him to fix any gadget or repair all of your home needs.

Bill is survived by his wife, Barbara Mae Fersch Scott. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Marie Ann Houston and her husband, Robert Patrick III of Poland, Ohio, and Raymond Michael Perorazio, Jr. and his wife, Erica of Madeira Beach, Florida.

There are six step-grandchildren, Robert Patrick Houston IV, Raymond Michael Perorazio III, Ryan Vincent Houston, Ethan Kenyon and twins Jacob & Jeremy Kenyon.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Phyllis Staats and Dorothy Wiggins.

Pastor Carol Forsythe of the church will conduct a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 27, 2022 at the Dawson Funeral Home in East Liverpool, Ohio. Friends may visit the family from Noon to 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Columbiana County Memorial Park on Monday.

Family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in care of the Oakland Free Methodist Church, 506 Wedgewood Street, East Liverpool, Ohio 43920
