Minerva, Ohio- Brian Bertman McCoy, 51, of Bayard Road died suddenly on Monday, November 21, 2022 at his residence.

Born February 16, 1971 in East Liverpool, Ohio, he was a son of the late Pamela Price McCoy and of Gary J. and Lynn McCoy of Guilford Lake, Ohio. A lifetime area resident, he was employed at the Timken Company in Canton, Ohio for the last 25 years. He was a member of the Harvest Baptist Church in Salem, Ohio.

An avid fisherman, Brian was a member of the PNA Sportsman Club in East Rochester, Ohio. A graduate of East Liverpool High School Class of 1989, he also graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics in 1991. He truly enjoyed the outdoors, kayaking and spending time with his friends and family.

Besides his parents, survivors include one daughter Erika McCoy and her fiancé Zach Zanic of Industry, Pennsylvania; one son, Jonathan McCoy and his wife, Sabrina of Lisbon, Ohio; and one grandson, Zeke Zanic.

In addition, he leaves behind one sister, Kimberly Stokes of Salem, Ohio; two brothers, Lance McCoy of Guilford Lake, Ohio and Wade McCoy and his wife, Jewelene of Hanoverton, Ohio; two step-sisters, Carrie Wilkes and her husband, JC of Salineville, Ohio and Toni Possage of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; one step-brother, Thomas Possage of East Liverpool, Ohio; and Brian's ex-wife, Amy McCoy of East Liverpool, Ohio.

Friends may visit the family on Saturday, November 26th, 2022 from 12:00 to 1:00p.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home in East Liverpool, Ohio. Reverend Ron Laughlin will officiate a Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
