EAST LIVERPOOL, OHIO – Carol A. Ebaugh, 88, of East Liverpool, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, unexpectedly, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Boardman, Ohio.

Carol was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on July 2, 1938, a daughter of the late Joseph and Anne (Vrannich) Holava. Carol began her journey in healthcare at East Liverpool City Hospital shortly after graduating from nursing school. Throughout her distinguished career, she brought her skills to several different hospitals, spending the majority of her years as a dedicated surgical nurse. She enjoyed finding the perfect outfit and shoes for the event; avoiding the snow and soaking up the sun; and celebrating family birthdays with some good buttercream frosting. Carol was a loving sister and aunt who enjoyed spending time with her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her companion, Howard Barnhouse; her sister, Helen Kasputis (late husband Robert); brother Joe Holava (Marsha); six nieces Mary Lynn Kasputis, Vicki Holava, Karen Edwards (Harold), Kristen Mack (Benjamin), Jodie Holava, and Jill Holava; two great nephews Caleb Herring and Tyler Mack; two great nieces Kayla Edwards and Katie Nicole Mack.

A private mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Holy Trinity Parish at St. Aloysius with Fr. Bala Marneni as celebrant. Entombment followed at Beaver Cemetery & Mausoleum in Beaver, PA. Arrangements entrusted to the Dawson Funeral Home in East Liverpool, OH.
