COLUMBIANA, OHIO – Charlene Ann "Char" Crews, 83, of Columbiana, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at her home with her family by her side.

Char was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on November 1, 1941, a daughter of the late Charles H. and June E. (Carson) Burcham. She was a graduate of Wellsville High School Class of 1961. She worked with her husband for many years as the secretary for their business R & C Construction. Char enjoyed crocheting and crafting. She had an exceptional talent for working with ceramics. Most importantly, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister that enjoyed spending time with her family.

Preceding Char in death were her son Randy Lee Crews; daughter Lisa Renee Crews; grandson Conner Lee Yarwood; sister Patty Cheuvront and brother-in-law Jim Mercer.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband and high school sweetheart of 64 years, whom she married March 3, 1962, Raymond D. Crews; son Tim Crews and his wife Kelly; daughter Tracy L. Crews; four granddaughters Natalie Thornberry and her husband Grant, Alexis Roadman and her partner Robert Rosgen, Stephanie Klesmith and her husband Justin and Leah "Salem" Yarwood; six great grandchildren Timothy Crews Thornberry, Brynn Paisley Thornberry, Wesley Richard Thornberry, Malcolm James Thornberry, Adalynn Grace Roadman and Daniel Robert Rosgen; sister Deborah Mercer and brother David Burcham and his wife Maryann.

Friends may visit Sunday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Evangelist Will Montgomery will conduct a funeral service 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Private burial at Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Following the service the family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for a time of fellowship.
