Claude J. McFadden Sr., 73

CALCUTTA, OHIO – Claude J. McFadden, 73, of Calcutta, Ohio passed away November 15, 2025, at his home.

Claude was born July 17, 1952, to Otis McFadden and Iva Collins Koeppen. He was a 1970 graduate of Beaver Local High School. He worked as a truck driver until his retirement and enjoyed spending his free time hunting, fishing, camping, boating, and being outdoors. Although reserved at first, he would open up once he got to know someone. He was a thrill-seeker with a great sense of humor, always ready to laugh and enjoy the adventures that came his way.

He was preceded in death by his father Otis McFadden. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Patricia Adkins, and her husband, Dustin, of Lisbon; and his son, Claude McFadden Jr., and his wife, Melissa, of Calcutta; grandchildren, Cameron, Kailen, Preston, Julia, Jenna, Mya, and Katya; and his great-grandchildren Ryder and Akashaa; his mother, Iva Koeppen; sisters, Susan McFadden, Edna Simpson, Paula McFadden Neal, Sandy Fairbanks, Laurie Mattern; and his former wife, Georgeanna Bailey.

Pastor Ian Leyda will conduct a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Longs Run Trinity Presbyterian Church.

Following the service the family will gather at the church for a time of fellowship.
