Darlene Jacobs, 70

NEW MANCHESTER, WEST VIRGINIA –Darlene Howard Jacobs, formerly of East Liverpool, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2025. She was 70 years old.

Born March 25, 1955, Darlene was the daughter of the late Carl and Barbara Dunmire Howard.

Darlene was a spitfire with a huge heart. Her family and loved ones meant the world to her and she was "everyone's mama." When she wasn't with her family, she could often be found reading, writing letters or journaling, sewing, and gardening.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters; Serena Jacobs (Jim Hawkey) and Sarah Jacobs; granddaughter, Alexis Bottoms; a brother Carl "Bogie" Howard (Deanna); one of her "youngins," Chrissy Richmond; Jack and Vicky Robinson; Tom and Leslie Ellek; as well as many extended family members and other youngins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald L. "Donnie" Jacobs; a daughter, Jessica Jacobs; her son, Dell Jacobs; sister, Carla Howard; and brothers, Robert "Buck" Howard and Carl "Skipper" Howard.

Friends may visit Tuesday, April 29, at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Rev. Norm Eckert will conduct a funeral service Wednesday, April 30, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
