LISBON – David W. "Dave" Cooper, 53, of Lisbon, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 16, 2025, at UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Dave was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on September 26, 1971, a son of the late Ray W. and Helen (Streets) Cooper. He was a graduate of Oak Glen High School Class of 1990. Dave worked at Weirton Medical Center for over 25 years.

Dave enjoyed life and could always be counted on to make you laugh. He enjoyed collecting toys, watching wrestling and spending time with his family and friends especially his nephews. Dave was a very kindhearted person and always had a smile on his face. He enjoyed playing practical jokes on his family and friends and if he was around you were guaranteed to laugh at some point. Dave was Christian by faith and was a member of the New Cumberland Nazarene Church.

Preceding Dave in death were his sister Tammy Cooper and nephew Brian "B.J." Little.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Jessie Rae Cooper; two sisters Vicki West and her husband Den and Marsha Cooper; brother John Cooper and his companion Mary Jo Buckle; thirteen nieces and nephews Kyle West and his companion Lauren Jackson; Robbie Reckner and his companion Barb Bittenger, Shane Reckner, Marcus Reckner and his wife Mickey, Christy Kreider, Tiffany Givens and her husband Roger, Nancy Holbrook and her husband Danny, Jana Morehead, Desarae Rawson, Justin Cooper, Ryan Cooper, Johnny Cooper and Bobby Williams and many great nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit Tuesday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 5 to 7 p.m. Pastor Norm Eckert will conduct a funeral service 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Private burial will follow at New Cumberland Cemetery.
