Desireé M. Silva, 44

COLUMBUS, OHIO – Desireé M. Silva, 44, of Akron passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024 at OSU Wexner Medical Center.

Desireé was born in Akron, Ohio on March 7, 1980. She was a daughter of Kim Austin of Columbus and Gene Zanders of Midland. She graduated from Massillon Washington High School and earned a certificate in Medical Administrating Assisting from Ultimate Medical Academy. A member of the Gates of Praise Worship Center, she had been working in customer service prior to her illness.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Nestor Silva, whom she married May 25, 2014; three sons Mikael Zanders, Nicolas Silva and Nestor Silva; daughter Cataleya Silva; and three sisters Amber Austin-Watkins, Olivia Simmons and her husband Harold, and Jo'Vanna Zanders.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 6th, at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit two hours prior to the service. Burial will be at Spring Hill Cemetery in Wellsville.
