Obituary

EAST LIVERPOOL – Dianne Ruth Cowsert, 75, of East Liverpool, has been called home to be with Jesus. She passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at East Liverpool City Hospital with her family by her side.

Dianne was born in Uniontown, PA on February 9, 1950, a daughter of the late Joseph Paulson and Laura Fern (Speer) Cowsert.

She was also preceded in death by her sister Martha Louise Cowsert.

Left to cherish her memory are her brother Robert Marshall Cowsert and his wife Naomi (Haney) Cowsert of East Liverpool.

Dianne is also survived by her niece, Beth Ann (Robert) Wells of Florida; Nephew, Brad Cowsert of East Liverpool; Great-Nephews, Christopher (Charity) Wells and Brandon Wells; Great-Niece, Shona Cowsert; Great-Great-Nieces, Kiera Wells and Aurora Floyd, all from Florida.

Dianne had been a resident of the Inspira Healthcare Facility of Calcutta, Ohio, where she enjoyed watching TV, coloring, monitoring the weather, and getting into mischief. She was an enthusiastic participant in the many activities at the Healthcare Facility, but her favorite was Bingo, which she was proud to say that she won quite often.

Although she is now at rest, Dianne will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Friends may visit Saturday July 5th at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Pastor Carol Forsythe of The Oakland Free Methodist Church will conduct a funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday July 7th at the funeral home. Dianne will be interred at the Riverview Cemetery.

Following the service, the family will gather at the Oakland Free Methodist Church located at 1551 Etruria Street, East Liverpool, OH 43920, for a time of food and fellowship in Dianne's honor.
