EAST LIVERPOOL – Florence G. Smith, 85, of Chaffin Street, East Liverpool, passed away Saturday night, June 25th, 2022, at 11:55 p.m. at the Calcutta Health Care Center following a lengthy illness.

Born in Doddridge County, West Virginia, September 21, 1936, she was a daughter of the late George Washington Gaines and Ruth Gaines. A resident of this area most of her life, she was a homemaker. At one time, she was a member of the Etruria Street Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Ray Smith, Sr., a daughter, Diana Cooper, a son Bobby Ray Smith, Jr., and a grandson, Joshua A. Smith.

She is survived by a son Richard "Rick" Smith and his wife, Vicki, of East Liverpool; two grandchildren, Benjamin White and his wife, Stephanie, and Eric Cooper; and one sister, Cathy Lovett.

All local arrangements have been handled by the Dawson Funeral Home of East Liverpool, Ohio.
