Francis V. "Frank" Duffy, 99

EAST LIVERPOOL – Francis V. "Frank" Duffy, of East Liverpool, formerly of the Chicago area, passed away peacefully at Crossroads at Beaver Creek following a brief illness. He was 99 years old.

Born in East Liverpool, February 23, 1925, he was a son of the late Frank Patrick Duffy and Harriet Green Duffy. An East Liverpool High School graduate, he earned a business degree from The Ohio State University. He later studied accounting at Roosevelt University. A veteran of World War II, Frank proudly served with the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Orland Park, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine R. Duffy in 2005.

Frank is survived by his nieces and nephews: Richard King and his wife, Kitty, Marilyn Kaucher and her husband, Karl, Carolyn Hahn, James King and his partner, Cindy, Janet Houston, Jerry Houston, James Houston, and Thomas Houston, as well as his cousins who were very close with him, Diane Kelly and Gayle Zimmerman and her husband, Dennis.

The Rev. Eric M. Edwards of St. John Lutheran Church will conduct a funeral service at the Dawson Funeral Home at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service. A wake and service will also be held at Brady-Gill Funeral Home, 16600 Oak Park Avenue, Tinley Park, Illinois 60477 on Saturday, February 8th. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Gardens, South, Oak Lawn, Illinois.
