EAST LIVERPOOL, OHIO – Gary E. Carroll, 80, of Wellsville passed away on Friday, September 8, 2023 at East Liverpool City Hospital.

Gary was born in Wellsburg, WV on September 8, 1943 a son of the late Ralph and Arta (Buck) Carroll. Gary was a graduate of Toronto High School and West Liberty State College where he received his Bachelor Degree in literature. He was an English teacher at Toronto High School until he retired in 1998. Gary also worked at Kroger while teaching. After his retirement he worked at Sears in Calcutta. Gary was a member of Lake Mount Church of Christ. He enjoyed gardening and really loved his dogs.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, whom he married December 23, 1968, Ann (Miller) Carroll; two sons Ed Carroll and Christopher Carroll and his wife Kesheena; six grandchildren Pace Carroll, Mikayla Mosch, Willow Nicolli, Emily Sheldon, Ella Mosch and Allison Carroll; great granddaughter Sophie Nicolli and brother Robert Carroll and his wife Ruthalee.

A private service was held at the convenience of the family. Burial at Spring Hill Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Dawson Funeral Home.
