EAST LIVERPOOL, OHIO – Geraldine "Bootsie" Hughes, 68, of East Liverpool passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at her home.

Geraldine was born in Charleroi, Pennsylvania on March 9, 1953. She was a member of Second Baptist Church where she played the organ for 8 years. Geraldine's life was dedicated to music. She self-taught herself to play the organ at a young age. She was very humble and kind and was the best Nana and Memaw to her grandchildren.

Preceding Geraldine in death were her father Gerald Hughes and brother Gary "Butch" Brown.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Terry Green of East Liverpool, Jacqueline Jarrett and her husband B.J. of Maryland, Robbie Green and his wife Danielle of East Liverpool, Jami Green of East Liverpool and Eric Carter his companion Mindy Johnson of East Liverpool; twelve grandchildren Tenille Mitchell, Mikyla Jarrett, Kasim Jarrett, Zavea Green, Amara Green, Ava Green, Aaron Green, Kai Green, Khloe Green, A.J. Green, Marley Burrows and Caleb Shroades; mother Gladys (Brown) Stone; two sisters Linda McCuen and her husband Marvel of Midland, PA and Debra Tucker of Beaver Falls and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Saturday where the family will be present from 2 to 4 p.m. Pastor Ernest Peachey of Second Baptist Church will conduct a service at the Funeral Home on Saturday at 4 p.m.
