EAST LIVERPOOL – Gladys B. Skeens, 98, of East Liverpool, passed away Monday, June 16, 2025, at Calcutta Health Care Center.

Gladys was born on December 18, 1926, in Port Homer, Ohio. She was a member of Longs Run Trinity Presbyterian Church. Gladys enjoyed gardening and loved cooking.

Preceding Gladys in death were her husband of 61 years Alvin C. Skeens; Lewis Bartimus; mother Rose (Buchanan) Wolfcomer; step father Boyd Wolfcomer; sister Icie Grimm and brother Elza "Buddy" Bartimus.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Barbara Skeens; stepdaughter Carol Liebschner and her husband Martin, Sr.; son Gary Skeens; four grandchildren Sherill Liebschner, Martin Liebschner Jr., Sandra Liebschner and Susan Liebschner; two great-grandchildren Devon and Chance Liebschner and one great-great-grandchild Jayden.

Friends may visit Friday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Pastor Ian Leyda will conduct a funeral service on Friday 12 p.m. at the funeral home. Private burial at Riverview Cemetery.

Following the service the family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for a time of fellowship.
