Howard Lee "Pete" McDonald, Jr., 73

BEAVER, PA – Howard Lee "Pete" McDonald, Jr., of Midland, passed away suddenly Sunday morning, November 17, 2024, at Brighton Rehabilitation in Beaver. He was 73 years old.

Born in Rochester, August 3, 1951, he was the son of the late Howard Lee "Pete" McDonald, Sr. and Etta Mae Smith McDonald. A graduate of Lincoln High School in Midland and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Pete was a Conrail Railroad retiree, a proud Mason, and a member of the Midland Volunteer Fire Department. He was a lifetime member of the Church of the Living God House of Prayer in Midland where he served as an usher and a member of the kitchen committee and the choir.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Darandy Brown, as well as a sisters, Rosa McDonald and Ethel Lee.

Left to cherish his memory are his three daughters, Amber N. Hayes, Mishka McDonald Hannon and her husband, Desmond, and Ashley McDonald, all formerly of Midland, and a son, Artrell Allen of Rochester. There are three grandchildren: Alexis Hayes, Cameron McDonald and Khylee Hannon, and three great grandchildren, A'nijah, Caleb and Cairo, along with a host of other family and friends that will miss his outgoing personality, special nicknames and countless jokes.

Pastor Lenny Matthews will conduct a funeral service at noon Saturday, November 23, at Church of the Living God House of Prayer, 343 Beaver Avenue, Midland where friends may visit two hours prior to the service. The Dawson Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
