"Bubba" Dowling, 33

WELLSVILLE – James Eric Anthony "Bubba" Dowling, of Wellsville, passed away Monday evening, July 15, 2024. He was 33.

Born in East Liverpool, October 8, 1990, he was a son of Melissa Dowling of Wellsville and James Eric Dowling of Oklahoma. Bubba graduated from Wellsville High School with the class of 2010 where he was a member of the football and wrestling teams. Most recently, he had been working at Weirton Ice and Coal as a truck driver. He was a member of the Teamsters local.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Ashley Cunningham Dowling, at home. The couple married November 6, 2021. He will be fondly remembered by his five children, Brooklyn, River, Micah, Karson and Ashtin. Bubba is also survived by seven brothers and sisters, Hope Chambers (April), Sara Dowling, David Thrasher (Lily), Jason Dowling (Jessica), Joseph Dowling (Andrea), Richie Dowling, and Eric Dowling, as well as his paternal grandparents, Eddie and Sara Dowling.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Seth Dowling.

Family and friends may visit Thursday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Pastor Donny Lytle will conduct a funeral service Friday, July 19th at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
