EAST LIVERPOOL – Janet L. Chambers, a lifelong resident of East Liverpool, passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 21, 2024, at the East Liverpool City Hospital. She was 78 years old.

Janet was born on June 20, 1945, in East Liverpool to the late John and Geraldine Ward Everhart. Janet retired from Kmart, where she worked as a sales associate, known for her warm smile and helpful nature. After retiring she owned and operated a convenient store in Wellsville.

Janet was a devoted member of the former Penn Avenue Methodist Church, where she shared her musical talents by playing the organ. Her music brought joy to many and was a testament to her deep faith and commitment to her church family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald "Jeff" Chambers, who passed away in 2015. The couple shared a marriage of over four decades, having wed on July 28, 1973.

Janet is survived by her two sons, David A. Conley of Wellsville, and Kevin P. Conley and his wife, Barbara, of East Palestine. She was a proud grandmother to her grandson, Paul M. Conley and his wife Jenna and great grandson Cooper James Conley.

Friends may call at the Dawson Funeral Home on Saturday where the family will be present from 2 to 4 p.m. Pastor Norm Eckert of Beechwood Free Methodist Church will conduct a service Saturday 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
