SALEM, OHIO – JoAnn L. Smith, 88, of Lisbon passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022 at Salem Regional Medical Center.

JoAnn was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on September 25, 1934 a daughter of the late Roy B. and Olive (McKinnon) Watson, Sr. She attended East Liverpool High School. JoAnn worked for Beresfords Meats and the former Hills Department Store. She was a loving mother and enjoyed raising her kids. JoAnn loved playing cards, reading and going shopping.

Preceding JoAnn in death were her husband Carl S. Smith; two sons Nick Lioi and Rocco Lioi; two sisters Marvella Moore and June Jones and three brothers Roy B. "Bud" Watson, Jr., Richard "Spikes" Watson and Robert Watson.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters Kim Lioi and her companion Rick Tomaine of East Liverpool and Mindy Stacey and her husband Bruce of Lisbon; three grandchildren Jim Lioi of Bozeman, MT, Stephanie (Bobby) Lioi of Barbour County, WV and Bruce Stacey II and his wife Emily of Canton, OH; two great grandchildren Theodore Stacey of Canton, OH and R.J. of Barbour County, WV and daughter-in-law Linda Lioi of Bozeman, MT.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Sunday where the family will be present from 12 to 2 p.m. Pastor Norm Eckert of Beechwood Free Methodist Church will conduct a service at the Funeral Home on Sunday at 2 p.m. Burial at Spring Grove Cemetery on Monday.

Following the service, friends and family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for a time of fellowship.
