Joanne M. Bombich, 82

COLUMBIANA – Joanne M. Bombich, of Columbiana, formerly of Moon Township, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday morning, March 12, 2025, at the Windsor House at Parkside in Columbiana. She was 82 years old.

Born in Pittsburgh, December 27, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Hilda O'Malley Weiss. She was raised in Pittsburgh and spent most of her life in Moon Township until moving to Ohio in 2019. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Church in Moon Township. She worked for Moon School District and later Marriott Service. She loved camping, especially with her family and friends. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a committee member of the Democratic Party.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Richard W. "Dick" Bombich, Sr., at home. The couple married on September 17, 1966. She is also survived by her two sons, Richard W. Bombich, Jr. (Deborah), of Imperial, Pennsylvania, and Ronald W. Bombich (Amanda) of Parrish, Florida. There are three grandchildren, Ryan, Aaron (Mattisyn), and Sydney Bombich. She also leaves behind her brother, Leonard Weiss, Jr. (Patricia), and a sister-in-law, Dianne Rattay, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit Sunday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Fr. Leo Wehrlin will conduct a Mass of Christian Burial Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Parish at St. Aloysius Church.

Following the service, friends and family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
