EAST LIVERPOOL, OHIO – Joyce A. Hopper, 91, of East Liverpool passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at East Liverpool City Hospital.

Joyce was born March 26, 1933 in East Liverpool a daughter of the late Floyd A. and Gladys B. (Warfield) Winland.

Joyce was a graduate of East Liverpool High School Class of 1951 and attended Ohio Valley Business College. She worked as food service coordinator for East Liverpool City Schools until her retirement in 2003 at the age of 70. Joyce returned to help the school five years later as a consultant for their food service program. She was a member of Crystal Chapter 18 Order of the Eastern Star, East Liverpool Assembly 71 Social Order of the Beauceant and Guardian of Order of Jobs Daughters Bethel 61. Joyce was active with the ELHS Class of '51. She enjoyed camping and visiting the beach.

Preceding Joyce in death were husband of 71 years, whom she married May 28, 1951, Ronald T. Hopper; daughter Ronda Sue Hopper-George-Cole; two sisters Jeanne Beadnell and Jenny Watkins and three brothers William, Wilbur and Gilbert Winland.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters Robin Estell and her husband Rock and Randi Jo Carroll and her husband Mike; eight grandchildren including Deana George Barton whom resided with her and 13 great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Thursday where the family will be present from 2 to 5 p.m. Evangelist Will Montgomery will conduct a service at the Funeral Home on Thursday at 5 p.m. Burial at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
