Judith Ann Preston, 74

LISBON – Judith Ann Preston, of Lisbon, passed away Monday evening, December 25, 2023, at her home following a brief illness. She was 74.

Born in East Liverpool, August 13, 1949, she was a daughter of the late Bernard W. and Eva Wooden Jividen. A lifetime area resident, she was a member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1967. Judy lived an active life, whether she was walking on the Greenway Trail, swimming at the pool, or working out at the Boiler Room. She also was an avid collector of Fiestaware. Above all of her activities and interests, she loved her family the most, whether attending sporting activities of her grandchildren, hosting monthly family dinners or taking trips to the beach with her sisters.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Paul Preston, at home. The couple married November 20, 1970. She is also survived by two daughters, Amy Johnson and her husband, Aaron, of Vienna, Jenny Preston and her companion, Scott Rice, of Howland, and a son, Matthew Preston of East Liverpool. There are six grandchildren: Amanda (Aaron) Bower, Adam Johnson, Brooke Preston (Malcom Wade), Sean Preston (Sammi Voorhees), Ryan Preston, Maura Newhouse, and Sylvia Rice, as well as three great-grandchildren: Malaki and Saige Wade, and Amelia Bower.

Judy also leaves behind two sisters, Sandy Broadbent and her husband, Larry Salisbury, of Florida, and Linda Lanam and her husband, David, of East Liverpool, along with a brother, David H. Jividen and his wife, Roxanne, of Dublin, Ohio, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law Bill Broadbent, and a nephew, Eric Jividen.
