Kelly S. McConnachie Long

CANFIELD, OHIO – Kelly S. Long, 48, of Canfield, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at her home.

Kelly was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on September 29, 1977, the daughter of Steve and Vicky McConnachie. She was a graduate of Beaver Local High School and received her bachelor's degree in psychology from Youngstown State University. Kelly worked for many years as a case worker with PsyCare. Kelly was a passionate advocate within the autism community, especially in support of Individualized Education Programs. She also helped create Walnut Grove Playground, reflecting her deep commitment to inclusion and accessibility for all children. More than anything, Kelly loved her children. They were the center of her world and her greatest joy. Despite ongoing health challenges, including type 1 diabetes and a kidney transplant, she faced life with strength, resilience, and unwavering devotion to her family.

Her husband, Bill Long, preceded her in death in 2014.

Left to cherish her memory are her twin daughters, Kamryn Long and Reygan Long, of Canfield; her son, Liam Barr; her parents, Steve and Vicky McConnachie, of Wellsville; her brother, Steve McConnachie, and his wife, Erin, of Chester, WV; and her niece, Kensington McConnachie, of Chester, WV.
