Obituary

East Liverpool, OH – Mr. Kenneth Christie Krafft, 72, of East Liverpool passed away on Friday, July 5, at East Liverpool City Hospital with his devoted family by his bedside after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease.

Born in East Liverpool, on November 7, 1951, Mr. Krafft was the son of the late Christie K. Krafft and Rosetta M. (Beaver) Krafft.

Kenny started working at a young age with his hands helping his dad build his childhood home. After high school he went to work for Geroge Cindrich General Contacting in Midland, PA driving truck and then ventured into starting his own construction business Krafft Contracting where he built his own home in 1985. In his early 50's the disease caused him to retire from his passion of owning and operating his own business. He graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1971 and was a member of First United Methodist Church and served on the board. He also counted Beechwood Free Methodist as a family church that held a special place in his heart. His passions included restoring classic cars, going to car races, watching the Steelers, and most of all enjoyed his time with family and friends.

Left to cherish Kenny's memory is his wife, Connie J. (Young) Krafft, who he married on June 15, 1984; a son, Stephen Krafft (Lany) of Smyrna, DE; two daughters, Kimberly Williams (Jerry) of East Liverpool, OH and Patrice Krafft Spayde (Carrie) of Columbus, OH; six grandchildren, Levi Williams, Noah Williams, Kaitlyn Krafft, Noel Williams, Mia Krafft and Hannah Krafft; a sister Deloris McCafferty (Bob) of Columbus, OH; a brother-in-law Robert Young (Vicki) of East Liverpool; two sisters-in-law Judy McComas (Emmitt) of East Liverpool and Diane Null (John) of Marietta, GA; along with several nieces and nephews. Also leaves behind a special companion his dog Jake aka "Jake from State Farm".

In addition to his parents, Mr. Krafft was preceded in death by one brother Ernie Krafft in 2010.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at ELCH for their wonderful care during his stay at the hospital this past week. Additionally, they would like to thank the many caregivers who have loved and provided care for him over the years.
