Kerrie M. "Kandy" Mitchell Knowles Elliott, 65

PITTSBURGH - Kerrie M. "Kandy" Mitchell Knowles Elliott, of East Liverpool, formerly of Texas, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the VA Healthcare System in Pittsburgh following a lengthy illness. She was 65.

Born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, August 28, 1958, she was a daughter of the late Jere Lane Hancock Mitchell. A graduate of Caprock High School in Amarillo, Texas in 1976, she was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, honorably discharged in 1977. She later worked as a Registered Nurse at various healthcare centers.

She was preceded by her first husband, John Knowles in 1999. She was also preceded by her second husband whom she loved dearly, Doug Elliott in 2017. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Luanne Porter.

Kandy is survived by a son, Steven R. Knowles and his wife, Beth, of East Liverpool, and two grandchildren, Johnathan and Madison Knowles, a sister, Dee Moersh and a brother, George Mitchell. She also leaves her best friend, Beverlee Munny and a special friend, Maria Pickering.

Arrangements have been completed by the Dawson Funeral Home.
