Laurena D. Boso, 89

EAST LIVERPOOL – Laurena D. "Rena" Boso, of East Liverpool, passed away Monday morning, October 9, 2023, at the Calcutta Health Care Center. She was 89.

Born in Huntington, West Virginia, May 10, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Edward J. and Edna Shrewsberry Brennen. A resident of this area most of her life, she was a homemaker and enjoyed to crochet. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in East Liverpool.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Boso, Sr., on February 4, 2007. The couple married November 12, 1954. She was also preceded by a sister, Claire Brooks, and two brothers, James Brennen and Dennis Brennen.

Survivors include her two sons, Robert L. Boso, Jr. (Jeanie), and Corey L. Boso, Sr. (Teresa), as well as six grandchildren: Robert Boso III, Leilani Boso, Jordan Gainer, Laurena G. Boso, Courtney Boso, and Corey L. Boso, Jr., and 14 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Richard Hawkins (Dana).

A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit two hours prior to the service. Burial will be at Calcutta Cemetery.
