EAST LIVERPOOL, OHIO – Lois M. Burris, 91, of East Liverpool passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at East Liverpool City Hospital.

Lois was born in East Liverpool on December 19, 1932 a daughter of the late John and Garnet (Riggs) Deem. She was a graduate of Waterford High School Class of 1951. Lois retired from East Liverpool City Schools where she worked as a cook. Lois was a member of St. Clair Avenue Church of Christ and Crystal Chapter 18 Order of the Eastern Star. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Preceding Lois in death were three brothers Thomas, Donald and Dennis Deem.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 70 years, whom she married May 14, 1954, Paul E. Burris; daughter Cynthia Sechrist and her husband Tim; two sons Jeffrey Burris and his wife Tammi and Kenneth Burris and his wife Nancy; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Family and friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Thursday where the family will be

present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Evangelist Will Montgomery of St. Clair Avenue Church of Christ will conduct a service at the Funeral Home on Friday at 11 a.m. Burial at Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Immediately following the service, the family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for a time of fellowship.
