Lynn Tatgenhorst Long, 79

EAST LIVERPOOL – Loretta Lynn Tatgenhorst Long, of East Liverpool, passed away Friday morning, May 12, 2023, at the Hospice House in Poland. She was 79.

Born in East Liverpool, July 25, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Robert S. and Sarah Williams Tatgenhorst. She attended Beaver Local High School and worked for many years at Homer Laughlin China. She was a member of the Glenmoor American Legion where she loved to play bingo. She enjoyed camping, especially with her children.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter C. Long, on April 15, 2008. She was also preceded by a granddaughter, Katlyn Elizabeth Myrick, as well as five siblings: Ray Pyle, Becky Martin, Bob Tatgenhorst, Sr., Tony Tatgenhorst and Steve Tatgenhorst.

Left to cherish her memory are her seven children: Todd Tatgenhorst and his wife, Elaine, of East Liverpool, Tawnya Myrick of East Liverpool, Terry Tatgenhorst and his wife, Denise, of Atwater, Kendra Trainer and her husband, Jay, of Virginia, Kelly Hindes and her husband, Rick, of New Middletown, Walt Long and his wife, Michelle, of Columbiana, and William "Bee" Long of East Liverpool. She also leaves 18 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by two sisters, Putsy Adkins and her husband, Lonnie, of East Liverpool, and Sally Bowers and her husband, Larry, of East Liverpool, and a brother, Bruce Tatgenhorst and his wife, Penney, of East Liverpool, along with two sisters-in-law, Donna Tatgenhorst and Carol Tatgenhorst.

Bob Tatgenhorst, nephew, will conduct a funeral service at 6:00 p.m. Monday at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit three hours prior to the service.
