Marilyn Roush, 81

EAST PALESTINE, OH – Marilyn Neer Roush, of East Palestine, passed away peacefully at the home of her son in Salem following a lengthy illness. She was 81 years old.

Born in East Liverpool, August 30, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Elsie Wurschum Neer. A resident of this area all her life, she was a homemaker and a member of the Lake Mount Church of Christ in New Waterford where she assisted with Grief Share.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph V. Roush, on June 19, 2019. The couple married June 13, 1964. She was also preceded by a son, Stephen E. Roush, as well as two sisters, Lois Pusateri and Caroline Neer, and two brothers, Richard Neer and John Neer.

Survivors include two sons, Scott Roush and his wife, Julie, of Columbus, and Kevin Roush and his wife, Tabitha, of Salem. There are five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She also leaves two sisters, Sue Scott and her husband, Terry, of East Liverpool and Brenda Webb and her husband, Steve, of Texas; and two brothers, Carl Neer, Jr. and his wife, Bernice, of Colorado and Merle Neer and his wife, Myung, of Nevada; and many nieces and nephews. She will also be sadly missed by her cat, PJ.

Evangelist Jason Cole of the Lake Mount Church of Christ will conduct a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit two hours prior to the service. Burial will be at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
