EAST LIVERPOOL, OHIO – Michelle L. "Shelly" Deal, 57, of East Liverpool, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2026, at her home.

Michelle was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on January 12, 1969. She was a graduate of East Liverpool High School Class of 1987. She also graduated from CCCTC nursing program as a LPN. Michelle worked as a traveling nurse for Amergis. She enjoyed listening to music, dancing and having a good time. Michelle also enjoyed doing embroidery and going camping. Most importantly, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt who loved spending time with her family.

Preceding Michelle in death was her father Gary Knight.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, whom she married March 25, 2014, Jerone Deal, Sr.; two daughters Jada Knight and Brittany Lee Vogl and her husband Ben; two sons Robert McCauley and Jerone Deal, Jr.; grandson Nicholas Lee Vogl; mother Linda (Birch) Hurst and her husband Ron; two sisters Renée Zellers and her husband James and Melissa Hurst; two brothers Jimmy Hurst and Zayne Knight and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may visit Tuesday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 3 to 8 p.m. Minister Rick Williams of Point of Mercy Sanctuary will conduct a funeral service 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Following the service, family and friends will gather at the Point of Mercy Sanctuary for a time of fellowship.
