Patricia A. Coil, 88

Columbus, Ohio — Patricia A. Coil, formerly of East Liverpool, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026, at Taylor Springs Health Campus. She was 88 years old.

Born in East Liverpool, Patricia was the daughter of the late John and Alice Jones. A devoted member of Westphal Avenue Baptist Church, she was deeply committed to her faith and was admired for her beautiful soprano voice, which she shared as a member of the church choir. Patricia enjoyed gospel music and found joy in singing and worship. Independent and adventurous, she took pride in driving and frequently made trips back to East Liverpool to spend time with family and friends. Patricia will be remembered for her spirited nature, cheerful disposition, and positive attitude.

She was preceded in death by her husband Arvin C. Coil, whom she married February 16, 1957; her son, Daniel A. Coil; sisters, Nancy Geer, Karen Adams, Kathleen Fickes, Sue Crawford, and Jennie Pezer; and her brother Jack Jones.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved extended family and many dear friends.

Pastor Toby Cambron will conduct a funeral service on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit two hours prior, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Hammondsville Cemetery.
