East Liverpool, Ohio- Ralph D. Carter, 72, of Orchard Grove Avenue passed away Tuesday, January 30th, 2024 at 11:05 pm at his residence following a brief illness.

Born January 7th, 1952 in East Liverpool, Ohio, he was a son of the late Richard w. and Elizabeth Pope Carter. A lifetime area resident, Ralph was retired from the Columbia Gas Company of Ohio after 37 years service. Most recently, he worked at the East Liverpool City Hospital as a service attendant. He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include his son, Eric M. Carter and his wife, Mindy of East Liverpool; two step-daughters, Jackie Jarrett and her husband, B.J. of Columbia, Maryland, Jamie Green of Youngstown, Ohio; and two step-sons, Terry Green of East Liverpool and Robbie Green and his wife, Danielle of East Liverpool.

There are two grandchildren, Caleb Shroades and Marley Burrows; nieces and nephews, Shawnita Bowen, Derek Carter, Braxton Carter, Shannon Pruett, Jesse Carter, Cierra Carter and Katelyn Carter.

Besides his parents, Ralph was also preceded by one granddaughter, Dez Mattie Carter, and by one brother, Richard S. "Ricky" Carter.

Friends may visit the family on Saturday from 9:00 to 11:00 am at the Dawson Funeral Home in East Liverpool, Ohio. The Reverend Ernest Peachey of the 2nd Baptist Church will officiate a funeral service at 11:00 am at the funeral home.

Immediately following the service, family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center.
