Obituary – Raymond E. "Ray" Betteridge EAST LIVERPOOL, OHIO – Raymond E. "Ray" Betteridge, 50, of East Liverpool passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at East Liverpool City Hospital ER. Ray was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on April 3, 1971. He was a veteran proudly serving in the Air Force. Ray was a professor at the New Castle School of Trades. He worked as a HVAC and maintenance technician. He also was a wrestling referee for the OHSSA. Ray graduated in 1989 from East Liverpool High School where he was a state qualifier in wrestling. He was inducted into the Wrestling Wall of Fame at East Liverpool high School. Ray enjoyed fishing and boating. He was an avid Penn State fan. Preceding Ray in death was his mom Ethel M. (Morehead) Betteridge Left to cherish his memory are his three daughters Mariah Hilliard and her husband Chad, Madalyn "Maddy" Betteridge and Allyson "Ally" Betteridge all of East Liverpool; two grandchildren Harlo Burcham and Charlotte Hilliard of East Liverpool; father Ray F. Betteridge of East Liverpool; brother Mark Betteridge and his wife Michelle of East Liverpool; sister Angela Mason and her husband Scott of Salem; two nephews Stefan Yoho of East Liverpool and Tyler Mason of Salem; niece Aubrey Yoho of East Liverpool and many dear and close friends. Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Saturday where the family will be present from 4 to 7 p.m. Minister Tyler McComas will conduct a service at the Funeral Home on Saturday at 7 p.m.
