Richard L. Nichols, 69

EAST LIVERPOOL — Richard Lee Nichols of East Liverpool passed away at his home on Sunday, April 19, 2026. He was 69 years old.

Richard, affectionately known as "Squirrel" by those who knew and loved him, was the son of the late Wayne and Peggy Nichols. He worked as a millwright, ran cable, and operated his own tarp business. Known as a true jack of all trades, Richard took pride in his work. Above all, he cherished his friends and family and will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, and loyal friend.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Nichols.

He is survived by his beloved daughter, Alisha Nichols (Zach), and his granddaughter, Kairi Nichols. He also leaves behind his faithful dog, Rocky, as well as many dear friends who were like family to him, including Missy Bott, his adopted son Jimmy and Brandy McKinnon, and Carletta Moore.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
