EAST LIVERPOOL – Richard J. "Bub" Reynolds, of East Liverpool, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, April 4, 2024. He was 87.

Born in East Liverpool, October 15, 1936, he was a son of the late Jesse and Mary Reed Reynolds. A resident of this area most of his life, he worked as a kiln fireman at Ferro Corporation for 43 years until retiring in 1998. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Bub was a member of Boyce Church as well as the American Legion Post 374.

Bub was preceded in death by his wife, Ida Mae McFall Reynolds, on October 22, 1998. He was also preceded by a son, Michael Joseph "Bruno" Reynolds, sister Thelma Williams and a brother, Gerald Reynolds.

He is survived by two sons, James L. Reynolds and his wife, Sandy, of East Liverpool, and William J. Reynolds and his wife, Michelle, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, and four grandchildren Kara Reynolds and companion Greg Adkins, Libby France and husband J.J., Jesse James and William H. Reynolds, four great-grandchildren, one great great grandchild and longtime companion Jan Nease.

Also surviving are two brothers, Robert Reynolds and Kenneth Reynolds.

Family and friends may visit Friday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Pastor Norm Eckert will conduct a funeral service Saturday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mill Creek Hill Cemetery where the Tri-State Veterans Burial Group will honor his service with military honors.

Following the service, family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
