EAST LIVERPOOL, OHIO – Ronald G. "Ron" Cunningham, 84, of East Liverpool passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at East Liverpool City Hospital.

Ron was born in East Liverpool on October 26, 1938 a son of the late William A. and Pearl (Lutton) Cunningham. He was a graduate of East Liverpool High School class of 1956. Ron worked as a roller in the cold strip at Crucible Steel and J & L Steel in Midland. He was an avid golfer and when he wasn't home gardening, he could be found on the golf course. He was very talented as a golfer and had two Hole in Ones. Ron was a member of the East Palestine Country Club.

Preceding Ron in death were three brothers Robert, William and Richard Cunningham.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 64 years, whom he married March 7, 1959 Carol (Dopler) Cunningham; two daughters Dana Ream and companion Bud Powell and Jennifer Fetty and her husband Denny; son Ron Cunningham and his wife Lisa; seven grandchildren Daniel Higgins and his wife Brea, Dustin Higgins and his companion Ashley Martin, Jacob Cunningham and his wife Katie, Allie Leidner and her husband John, Leeann Ream and her husband Truman Chambers, Isaac Ream and Ben Cunningham and his fiancée Emily Heath; five great grandchildren Linden Higgins, Liam Higgins, Hazel Cunningham, Elsie Cunningham, Evelyn Cunningham and Oliver Leidner and sister Sharon Brown.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Monday where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Pastor Norm Eckert of Beechwood Free Methodist Church will conduct a service at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Burial at Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Immediately following the service the family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for a time of fellowship.
