Shane R. Wright, 35

WELLSVILLE, OHIO – Shane R. Wright of Wellsville, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at his home. He was 35 years old.

Shane was born in East Liverpool, the son of Tony and Lorie Buckel, and was a graduate of East Liverpool High School, Class of 2009. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing, and had a love for animals, especially his dogs, who meant a great deal to him. Shane also enjoyed watching movies and working on his 2001 Mustang. He will be remembered by those who knew him for his smile, kindness, and pure heart.

Preceding Shane in death were his grandparents, Sam Roberts, Karen Figley, and Terry Buckel Sr.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Tony and Lorie Buckel; his sister, Megan Minor; his brothers, David Wright and Timothy Minor; a stepsister, Courtney Preston; his grandmother, Patricia Roberts (Terry); his pap, Roger Maxwell; and his beloved dogs, Harley and Navi. He also leaves behind his aunt, Gail McKee; his uncles, Shawn Buckel (Crissy) and Terry Buckel Jr.; his nephews, Kavion Bradley, Davien Wright, and Skyler Buckel; nieces, Haley Volino and Emma Miller; great-aunts, Sherry Kazee (Mike), Sondra Vallera, Susan Montgomery, and Brenda Little; his great-uncles, Donald Tucker (Mary) and Bobby Tucker; and cousins Brittany Buckel, Jacob Buckel, Chelsea McKee, Jessica Buckel, and Justin Buckel.

Rev. Norm Eckert will conduct a funeral service at 5:00 p.m. on February 26, 2026, at the Dawson Funeral Home where friends may visit two hours prior from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Following the service the family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for a time of fellowship.
