Terresa J. "Reesey" Mackall, 49

LISBON – Terresa J. "Reesey" Mackall, of Lisbon, passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at her home. She was 49 years old.

Born in Salem, on September 20, 1975, she was the daughter of Kenneth and Mary Ann Gorby Mackall of Lisbon. A member of the Beaver Local High School Class of 1993 where she was a member of the softball team, Reesey pursued her passion for helping others by continuing her education at the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science and Point Park University, where she earned her degree in Mortuary Science.

Reesey worked tirelessly to achieve her goals, supporting herself through school as a part-time associate at the Dawson Funeral Home. After graduation, she began her career as an apprentice at the Dawson Funeral Home and later became a licensed funeral director and embalmer, serving the community with compassion and professionalism. Her dedication and talent led her to Manassas, Virginia, where she became a manager at Demaine Funeral Home.

Unfortunately, Reesey's career was cut short due to Multiple Sclerosis, prompting her return to the area to devote herself to raising her beloved daughter, Lauren, whom she was tremendously proud of. She loved watching her grow up around family and never missed a softball game. Recently she began working as a substitute teacher at David Anderson High School.

Reesey was known for her loving nature, wonderful smile, infectious sense of fun, and a winning attitude that inspired those who knew her. She brought light to every room she entered and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Lauren Piscitelli, at home; her siblings, Deanna Lyder and her husband, Brett; Curtis Mackall; and Randy Mackall and his wife, Brenda. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless others who were touched by her warmth and kindness.

She was preceded in death by her niece Jessica Mackall, whom she dearly missed.

Friends may visit Thursday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
