Obituary

Youngstown – Timothy Lee Kampfer, of Youngstown, formerly of Lake Tomahawk, passed away Friday, May 10, 2024. He was 40.

Born in Salem, December 28, 1983, a son of Denny L. Kampfer of Negley and the late Debbie Griffin Kampfer. He graduated from Beaver Local High School.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his three children, Mason, Lilly Ann and Ryder, as well as two sisters, Stacie Davis (Scott) of Lisbon, and Lisa Stanish (Liz) of Summerville, South Carolina. He also is survived by his paternal grandmother, Marge Kampfer of Columbiana, his maternal grandmother, Ann Griffin of Calcutta, and his wife, Brittany DeMarco.

Tim was a life long baseball fan, and enjoyed outdoor activities such as attending music festivals, fishing, and camping, particularly at Nelson Ledges.

An art lover throughout the course of his life, he was also a talented painter and textile artist in his own right. His evocative subject matter stood on the border where the every day mundane world meets the long, dark night of existential agony.

His friends remember him as intelligent, caring, and generous, with a truly passionate nature.

He will be missed.

A private family service will be conducted at the Dawson Funeral Home.
