Obituary for Sheila M. Reynolds (Morris)

Sheila M. Reynolds, of Lisbon, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 9:25 a.m., at Salem Community Hospital. She was 84.

Born in East Liverpool on October 19, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Nora Sullivan Morris.

A 1947 graduate of East Liverpool High School, Sheila began working in the office at the former United Clay Mines in East Liverpool. Later in her life, she had been an LPN at the Green Cross Hospital in Cuyahoga Falls before returning to the Lisbon area in 1977. She had been a member at St. George Catholic Church in Lisbon.

Throughout her life, however, she was first and foremost, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She and her husband, George A. Reynolds Jr., were married on October 15, 1948, and together they raised two daughters and two sons, and loved being surrounded by their extended family. An animal lover, Sheila also enjoyed travelling, especially to Canada.

Her husband, George, survives her at home. Also surviving are two daughters: Treva Reynolds, of Lisbon, and Veronica Koch, and her husband August Jr., of Ravenna; as well as two sons, James Reynolds also of Ravenna, and Michael Reynolds, and his wife Sheila, of Columbus Grove, OH. There are two grandchildren: August Koch III and his wife, Melissa, and David Koch and his wife, Danielle. Five great-grandchildren also survive: Madeline, August IV, Coen, Aubrey and Julien. Sheila also leaves behind her beloved dog, Lizzie.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Aislyn Faye Koch, and six sisters: Naomi Dray, Nellie Stearns, Patsy White, Leona Nesselrode, Irene Davis and Gertrude Headley, as well as three brothers, Albert, Robert and William Morris.

Friends may visit Tuesday at the Dawson Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where the family will also receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
