Obituary for Mary Margaret Call (Flowers)

Mary Margaret Flowers Call, of East Liverpool, passed away at the Calcutta Health Care Center, Tuesday, January 6, 2015 following a lengthy illness. She was 88.

Born in East Liverpool, November 27, 1926, she was a daughter of the late William L. and Macil Marcella Landfried Flowers. She was a lifetime East Liverpool resident.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald W. Wright, and later by her second husband, John H. “Jack” Call. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Elah Daniels.

She is survived by a son, Donald W. “Butch” Wright, and his wife Cheryl, of East Liverpool, along with two step-daughters, Penny Jo Winland, and her husband William, of Tamarac, Florida, and Kristina Russell, and her husband James, of Youngstown, and two step-sons, Rev. Dr. Brad Call, and his wife Sue, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, and Richard Call, and his wife Sherry, of Baxter, Kentucky. Thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren survive as well.

There are also two sisters, Betty J. Martinez of Tiffin, Ohio and Alma McKinnon of East Liverpool, and a brother, Amos E. “Gene” Frazier, and his wife Barb, of New Orleans, Louisiana.

Friends may visit Thursday evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Rev. Dr. Brad Call will conduct a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Spring Grove Cemetery.

Following the service, family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
